OUR LAUNCHING PADS
FOR THE HOMELESS
INITIATIVE

Every Bounceback program is organically designed and strategically placed on a 4 month timeline. This intensive  coaching and mentoring 24/7 schedule equips our participants living on the streets with a safe place where they rebuild respect for self and community, find employment and secure a permanent residence of their own.

Bounceback staff, volunteers and phase 1 participants utilize underused spaces in churches or private and public buildings where 6 of our vetted and tested participants are held accountable to their coaches and mentors for developing the skills, motivation and life goals needed to become fully employed , housed in a NON-subsidized dwelling and capable of reaching other positive life goals.

The launching pad provides a safe and supportive space with clean and secure individual accommodations. All necessary facilities and sufficient areas for learning and studying are included.

NOTICE

Bounceback’s original Launching Pad sites were to be inside occupying a room large enough to accommodate 6 unhoused men or women, a classroom and small kitchen area primarily in Churches.

Our Drive Inn Launching Pad program was designed  for churches whose physical space was not adequate and there we would assist those unhoused neighbors who are sleeping in their cars. Since Covid-19 we have rebooted our Resources to include items like gasoline, auto maintenance and auto insurance thus making the resources specific to the results we seek. We can still walk our unhoused neighbors off the streets into a vehicle and onto a vacant or parking lot.

THE BOUNCEBACK DRIVE INN LAUNCHING PAD INITIATIVE

We have located a few possible Launching Pad sites for cars and vans. Our site will be completely fenced, outer perimeter tree-scaped, 5 oversized parking spaces, tarp fenced between parking spaces, portable shower and porta potty equipped. A double wide trailer for cooking and classroom attendance will also function as a meeting area for individual gatherings. ALL OF THIS IS DESIGNED WITH SOCIAL DISTANCING STANDARDS.

But what about getting our unhoused neighbors off the streets?

We have started an automotive task force to obtain donated cars and vans. We have signed up a few auto repair shops to make sure our donated autos are safe and reliable. We will be approaching our neighborhood Auto Dealers with a very unique way for them to provide our Participants without cars an opportunity to obtain one. This program will also allow those unhoused neighbors living in a sub standard “eyesore” a means to acquire a vehicle that actually drives.

We are looking for at least 8 sites. Any help with this task will be greatly appreciated.
